With Canada Day being on a Thursday this year, we decided to open the museum on July 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

Thursday July 1st
.
We had fine crowds on Canada’s birthday and had a great turnout of volunteers as well. In addition to our miniature train rides, we opened up #6213 for cab tours and provided rides on the turntable. The park was busy from late morning to late afternoon. We ran two trains for a while.

Friday, July 2nd
.
Friday was much quieter in terms of visitors to the park but we did operate the miniature railway as well as opening up both Don Station and #6213
.
Saturday, July 3rd
.
On Saturday, it looked we were doing Doors Open all over again several times during the day. We had lots of people in the park and visiting us. We continued to provide access to had 6213 and our museum train consisting of our Whitcomb #1, the Fowler box and the TH&B caboose which was parked on track 40. The turntable ran nicely after a mechanical check and grease job.

Sunday, July 4th
.
Sunday was a lovely hot sunny day with lots of people out in Roundhouse Park. We had the sound of cannon from the harbour and weird foam maple leaves floating high over the park all afternoon too! These last two items were courtesy of the "Tall Ships" rendezvous and sail past taking place in Toronto Harbour. We had enough crew today to open the whole museum although we didn't bring the museum train out.

The pictures accompanying this post were taken on July 1st.
