Speeders on Parade!

With the acquisition of the Walmsley collection earlier this year, our collection of speeders (also known as railway motorcars) has grown significantly. This past weekend, we began the process of cleaning up the machine shop. In the process of doing so, we moved all of the speeders into the park leading to the series of images shown here and for the first time, pictures of all of the speeders in a "convoy". Such convoys are actually typical of how speeders are operated today by enthusiasts who typically make arrangements with railways to allow them to run convoys of such restored vehicles on their trackage.
