New TTC streetcar arrives in Toronto!

The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) just took delivery of the first of Toronto's new low-floor streetcar a few short weeks ago. This, and three other test vehicles, will be commissioned over next 12 to 18 months, with regular service starting in early 2014.

The new streetcars are 120 feet long and have a capacity of over 250 passengers. They feature wheelchair access and are air-conditioned. Click here to view a video and read a news report on the announcement of their arrival.
