February 16th and 17th steam excursion on the Waterloo Central

There will be a steam train excursion in the Kitchener/Waterloo area next weekend.  Here is the announcement:

"Please come back in time with us as our newly restored steam locomotive makes its first winter appearance in many years on the Waterloo Central Railway.    Steam locomotive Essex Terminal Railway No. 9, built in 1923 by the Montreal Locomotive Works, will be operating in passenger service over the Family Day week-end.  Our special trains will travel from the City of Waterloo through the picturesque snow covered farms of Woolwich Township to Elmira and return.

We are very excited about this winter special and hope that you will come out and be part of the festivities.  This week-end will also feature the 10th Annual Waterloo Ice Dogs Festival at the Uptown Waterloo Public Square which will be our departure point for the week-end.
