Field Trip: Visiting miniature railways in Florida!

Michael Guy once again is visiting the Florida area and naturally gravitated to the local live steam railroad clubs.  The  Florida Live Steamers host a number of “meets” on successive weekends in February at different miniature railways.  Michael sends us these photos of his adventures at these meets.

In one of the photos, young Riley, a member of the Golden Horseshoe Live Steamers of Hamilton vacationing with his family, drives Michael’s small electrically powered “critter” which Michael brought with him to Florida to run on the Florida tracks. 

The miniature railway pictures are of the Largo Central Railway. The campsite where Michael’s mobile home is parked (see photo below) is at the Crews Lake Park, home of Pasco Central & Gulf Railroad
