Burlington Model Railroad Club Open House - June 7th 2014

We occasionally feature local model railroad clubs, especially when they have open house events giving  us the opportunity to visit and enjoy them. The Burlington Model Railroad Club (BCMR) is holding just such an event this weekend, Saturday, June 7th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  Here is what they say about their club on their website:

"Formed in the late 1970's the club has been at their current location in Hidden Valley Park since 1997. The BMRC was originally established as an HO-scale modular club and bounced around to various locations throughout the 1980's and early 90's, until the current location was organized through a generous partnership with the City of Burlington.

The Club is particularly unique in that unlike most railways clubs, BMRC has separate permanent layouts in HO and N scale as well as an outdoor G scale layout situated at the club house. The Club also has members with a portable layouts in Z scale layout as well as HON30, which gives us the ability to have 5 different scales represented at our Open House and Shows".
