Owen Sound's Rail and Marine Museum Reopens

Due to necessary budget cuts by the Owen Sound City Council, the Board of the Rail-Marine Museum in Owen Sound chose to close the museum a year or so ago.  A group of volunteers subsequently worked hard to turn the Museum into a non-profit organization.

On Saturday, June 27th, 2014, the museum was re-opened as the Community Waterfront Heritage Centre. The full story can be read by clicking here.

The centre will be open seven days a week until the end of August from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Saturday and until 4 p.m. Sunday.  Click here to visit the museum’s website.
