Restoration work on CN Northern 4-8-4 #6213

Our CN 4-8-4 Northern Steam Locomotive #6213 has been in the care of Grant Kingsland for many years. Here we see Grant and his team working on the right-hand side coupling rods. Joe, Lionel and (not seen here) Patrick spent the day removing the rods and starting the process of persuading bronze bearing bushings to come out. The bushings are supposed to float but are often hard to remove due to old grease having hardened between the bush and the rod.
