The Fowler Boxcar gets a new roof!

A TRHA roofing team is engaged in replacing the old sheet steel outer cover with a modern rubber membrane. The original tongue and groove roof boards were mostly intact so a light plywood skin is being added before glueing the membrane in place. The original roof walk was long gone but will be replaced during this work.

The entire car is also being repainted after light repairs to some of the woodwork.
