Niagara Railway Museum's latest acquisition - a GE 25 tonner!
The Niagara Railway Museum announced a milestone event for them today. Here is the announcement:
"I am very pleased to announce the newest addition to the Niagara Railway Museum Inc. This has been a very long kept secret, and I can now introduce our new GE 25ton diesel, which was moved today from the former BF Goodrich plant on Townline Rd. It was a quick move, the locomotive was operated on and off the trailer, and has been operated at the Museum already, even moving the boxcar further down the track (see below). The attached photo (see above) is the official photo taken shortly after unloading.
This is a great addition to our Museum and is continuing
to make sure we go out of 2015 in a very big way. 2015 has been big, and 2016
may very well be even bigger. More pictures and a video of the move can be found on our website at www.nfrm.ca/blog. A big thanks to Chris and Ed, and to PGM Rail Services in Niagara
Falls for moving the locomotive."
Ken Jones, President - Niagara Railway Museum Inc.
